THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT Working On New Material
November 4, 2010Guitarist/vocalist Michiel Dekker of Dutch extreme metallers THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT has issued the following update:
"At the moment we are working on new tracks for the upcoming album. The new stuff sounds very good (I can say that because I wrote it). It will be in the vein of [2008's] 'Trivmvirate'. That is not a surprise because that album hasn't an overall sound.
"We (I) wrote a track about the writings of Sayid Qubt and I am still doubting between two possible songtitles: 1. 'Aslimu!' 2. 'Those Who Have Brought Down Our Highly Respected Symbols To The Lower Status Of The Barren Earth'."
THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT's reworked version of the band's 2005 album "The White Crematorium", dubbed "The White Crematorium 2.0 - The Revenge of the Failed", was released in Europe on February 19, 2010 through Twilight-Vertrieb and in the United States shortly thereafter via Epitomite Productions.
"Master Of The Bryansk Forest", the latest video from THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT, can be viewed below. The performance footage for the clip was shot at the 2008 edition of the Chaulnes Metal Fest in France by Metaluna Productions.
"Master Of The Bryansk Forest" comes off THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT's previous album, "Triumvirate", which was released in February 2008 via Twilight-Vertrieb. The CD was recorded at Ground Zero studio with producer Pascal Altena. Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Guido Aalbers.
